  3. A leprechaun is a type of male elf or faerie - being dual in nature: material and spiritual - that inhabits the island of Ireland. Leprechauns are creatures belonging to Irish folklore and mythology, and are said to have lived in Ireland alongside all the faerie creatures, the Tuatha Dé Danann and other legendary people since before the arrival of the Celts.

Leprechauns and other creatures in Irish mythology are often associated with "Fairy Forts" or "Fairy Rings," which are often places where ancient — Celts or before them — drumlins or earthworks are found.

They usually take the form of old men who enjoy doing mischief. They are dedicated to making or fixing shoes. They are said to be very wealthy, as they guard many treasured clay pots (cauldrons) that were buried in periods of war.1 According to legend, if someone manages to fix his gaze on a leprechaun, he cannot escape, but the moment you look away, it disappears.

  7. They are one of the beings of the earliest evidence in Ancient Ireland.

According to the legends, which have passed through centuries and centuries from parents to children thanks to oral tradition, the leprechauns inhabited the island and their appearance was that of a leprechaun, of which they appear on numerous posters and Irish souvenirs that commemorate the celebration. St. Patrick's Day.

They are small beings dressed in green, with a large hat that reveals red hair, as well as a prominent beard of the same color.

Leprechauns make or fix shoes, and they are said to be very wealthy, but also greedy.

Their fortune comes from the fact that they guard many earthenware vessels full of treasures, that were buried in periods of war and that no one except them ever recovered.

According to legend, if someone manages to fix his gaze on a leprechaun, he cannot escape and has to give him his treasures, but the moment he looks away he disappears.

Leprechauns are not very sociable, especially when they believe that their treasures are in danger.
They live in the woods, so it is common for them to encounter lost travelers, who come to them after hearing the sound of a hammer when they work.

When the leprechauns are discovered they are first friendly, but when they are asked about the gold they completely change their attitude.

They can grab a tremendous tantrum, deny possessing treasures, signal an imaginary swarm of bees, or a tree about to collapse; anything to distract you.

The moment the human takes his eyes off him, the leprechaun vanishes.

If this trick fails, you still have plenty of resources left. For example, you can become surprisingly generous and, in the blink of an eye, buy your freedom with a bag full of gold coins.

But when the leprechaun sprinkle the human with the gold, it is better not to get into debt too soon, since their gift immediately turns to ashes or disappears completely.
